Spotted a mistake?
Tell us.
We want every detail on Find Malpractice Lawyers to match what the firm itself publishes and what the State Bar of California shows. When something is wrong or out of date, we fix it. Corrections are free, and you don’t need to work at the firm to send one.
How to send a correction.
- On any profile, use “Something out of date? Suggest a correction” at the bottom. It opens our correction form with the firm already selected.
- By email at hello@findmalpracticelawyers.com. Tell us the firm, what is wrong, and where the right information is published (a link to the firm’s own page or the attorney’s State Bar profile helps most).
Please don’t send passwords, private status links, medical records or the facts of a legal matter. We are a directory, not a law firm, and we can’t pass your message to a lawyer.
What happens next.
A person reviews every request before anything changes; sending the form does not edit a profile by itself. We check the suggested change against the firm’s own website, or the State Bar of California attorney profile for license status, admission, public discipline and certified specialty, the same way we check every listing (see how we check). If the source confirms it, we update the profile and its check date. If we can’t confirm it, we leave the profile as it is or remove the detail that can no longer be supported: we don’t publish a fact without a source, even from a correction.
Requests about a photo you own or appear in are handled within 2 business days, as stated on every profile with photos. If you used the form, your private status link shows the request’s progress.
Law firms.
Firms can claim their profile for free to keep their practice areas, offices, languages and hours current. Ownership is confirmed through a firm contact that was published before the request. Claiming a profile never changes its State Bar record or trust check.
Closed firms and changed licenses.
If a firm has closed, no longer handles medical malpractice or elder neglect cases, or no longer has an office or stated service in California, tell us. If a listed attorney’s State Bar status no longer reads Active, the profile cannot stay as it is. Once we confirm either, the profile is updated or taken down.
Mistakes we find ourselves.
Our weekly source checks and full re-verifications catch many changes before anyone reports them. Those are corrected the same way: against the firm’s own source or the State Bar record, with a new check date on the profile.
